Taylor Swift, the rarest pop star, is one who managed to move between the genres of country and mainstream pop culture and become an iconic figure in the pop world. The singer also swept every continent during the course of her journey. Swift removed herself from the country genre like a second skin, and revealed she had the finest pop sensibility in her time. Swift was the only artist/singer who could take the popular zeitgeist out on the road. Swift's first hits, particularly their neo song in tribute to Tim McGraw, showed off the talents of her. The album from 2008 Fearless showed a singer-songwriter who was beginning to discover herself, and gaining a huge following. Fearless became a massive success not only in the United States and six of the singles were certified platinum on the back of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and you Belong with Me. But the album also enjoyed a great reception across the globe. Swift was able to consolidate her progress by releasing Speak Now almost two year after. Her popularity only increased through her subsequent three albums -- Red (2012) 1989 (2014) as well as Reputation (2017) and Reputation in 2017 and found her moving assuredly into the realm of pop that she had already been a part of. Her popularity grew even after she altered her plan with 2020's pared-down siblings Folklore (and Evermore) and stayed in the forefront of pop culture.
